We are excited to offer this class in direct partnership and collaboration with the founding authors and designers at the Faber Institute. Our expert teachers guide students using the world-renowned and best-selling Piano Adventures method by Nancy and Randall Faber. Each lesson will include singing, keyboard playing, note reading, rhythm ensembles, ear training and homework. Students will learn to play simple tunes on the piano. Piano group classes are 45 minutes weekly. My First Piano Adventure Group Class is a 12 week beginner piano class specifically designed for students age 5-6 with no musical experience. My First Piano Adventure: Group Class For 5-6 Year Olds One parent per student is required during the lesson.Ĭhildren are encouraged to be able to read numbers one through five and letters A through G. Skills taught include keyboard performance, listening, pitch matching, keyboard technique, singing, rhythm, movement, and music appreciation. Skills unfold while we engage the child’s inherent love of music and provide them with a well-built track toward private lessons. Using fun reading and rhythm games that provide a holistic learning approach, students will develop a foundation of aural perception, physical coordination, and visual recognition for note reading.
